This is a lavishly illustrated book about the treasures of the Benson Latin American Collection at the University of Texas at Austin, one of the world’s great libraries for the study of Latin America and Latinos in the United States. More properly it should be called a Hispanic collection because it is a comprehensive library of Spain and Portugal in the New World. Founded in 1921 the collection has rare books, manuscripts, maps, photographs, music, oral histories, art, and objects from the 1500s to the present. 9 x 12 size.
