Francis William Seabury was an attorney who collected information about South Texas land grantees and their descendants including their genealogies. His papers are in the Center for American History in Austin, Texas. The translator and editor has selected 95 prominent families and their genealogies to showcase in this book. This work is one of the two most essential books in Hispanic genealogy investigations regarding families from Northern Mexico and South Texas. This is a limited reprint of the second volume and it is doubtful this book will be published again due to cost. Includes a separate Name Index of 90 pages. Illustrated.
