Description
The Tlaxcalan Indians were the allies of Hernan Cortes in the conquest of Mexico and without them he surely would have failed. Many are not aware that the Spaniards relocated some of their loyal Tlaxcaletcan Indians to Nothern Mexico giving them special privileges such as conferring on them the title of “don” and exempting them from taxation. They were brought north to help in pacifying the Chichimeca barbarian tribes of the north. San Miguel de Aguayo was one of those cities founded for them. Contains 10 chapters and numerous apendices.
